~MY
WINDOW~
I am a parent
Who has lost
a child
I'm trying
to cope
And make my
life worthwhile
I struggle
each day
With an inner
pain
Sometimes
the tears fall
Like a summer
rain
I look to others
Who know what
I feel
The pain we
live with
Seems so unreal
My soul has
a window
That some
eyes never see
It's my special
place I visit often
Where memories
are hid for me
I open that
window
When I feel
all alone
And think
of my child
That God called
to His home
I can't help
but think
Of all the
parents like me
Who have that
same window
That the outside
world cannot see
My eyes show
the pain
Some have
told me many times
Yet they can't
see my window
That special
place of mine
Today I opened
the window
For I needed
to see
The memories
I've got stored
That are special
to me
Only I can
open this window
And only another
can see
Who has to
walk this journey
God has given
to me
