I've only had
one heart
That God gave
to me
A heart that
once was happy
As all of
ours should be
My heart has
been broken
And never
will be
The way it
once was
Before death
change me
I've learned
to deal with
Many issues
through the years
I've taught
myself to go on
And struggle
with my tears
My one heart
has many things
That I feel
it must do
And that is
to help others
Who have broken
hearts too
One day your
broken heart
Will partially
mend too
And you will
reach out and help
Others who
are living like you
Reach out your
hand
Pull along
someone new
Show them
how you have survived
As helping
others will also help you
