~WHAT
IS AN ANGEL~
What is an
angel
Does Anyone
know
Do they all
have wings
And halo's
that glow
Do they come
in all sizes
Some thick
and some thin
Are they around
us daily
Do they hear
our hearts sing
I believe
angels
Come in disguise
They could
be the man next door
Or the new
bushing bride
We think we
have the answers
So many have
said
In order to
be an angel
You have to
be dead
Someone once
told me
A long time
ago
Treat everyone
as kind as ever
For the face
of an angel I'd not know
That old man
who's dressed
In the shabby
clothes
COULD be an
angel
As everyone
knows
That child
down the street
The one with
the blue eyes
Could be an
angel
With an impish
look in his eye
Someone in
the supermarket
Who touches
your arm
Who you feel
so peaceful with
Who has so
much charm
The butterfly
that lands
On your window
each day
Looking at
you
In such a
cute little way
A bird who
is perched
Singing a
song
Who won't
go away
When you try
to shoo him along
Angels are
here
We better
open our eyes
For we never
know we're looking
At one in
disguise
Sometimes we're
tested
In faith and
belief
Pay attention
to all
Our harvest
we'll reap
