I
knelt down to pray tonight
I
asked that you would hear
The
silent crying of my heart
And
the pain I've carried all these years
I
asked you to help the others
Who
have this journey yet to take
Sometimes
it's so hard Lord
When
the pain strikes when we wake
Some
of us question why
Our
children had to go
There
are no answers on earth
It's
only You that knows
Sometimes
the pain in unbearable
And
times we cannot cope
Sometimes
we lose everything we have
Sometimes
all we have left is hope
I
knelt down tonight again Lord
And
I hope that you will see
There
are so many of us
Who
need proof of eternity
Tonight
when I said, "Our Father....."
And
held my beads in my hand
I
felt confident that You heard Lord
From
the beautiful promise land
Give
the parents strength Lord
Like
you have given to me
Show
them the way Lord
For
sometimes the eyes cannot see
Touch
them with your gentleness
Like
a warm summer breeze
Let
them know you are there Lord
Show
them the way you showed me
