~THINGS I LOST~
I look out my window
Thinking of things I wish I had
Like seeing my child grow up
His death made me so sad
I lost so much when he died
There were times that I could not
see
And realize that my life could go
on
Without my child alive near me
I lost the chance to see him graduate
I lost the happiness to see him
wed
I lost the ability to be a grandma
Listening to the cute things my
grandkids could have said
I lost my traditional Holidays
For they are not the same anymore
I lost so much of my future
When the angels opened my door
I lost more than my heart
The day my child died
I lost the ability to fix
Things I felt broken inside
But one day I pray
That I will understand why
There were so many years alone
So many teardrops for me to cry
I hope that when the angels
Call and knock at my own door
That my child is waiting for me
This is what I'm waiting for
I've lost so much on earth
In Heaven I hope to gain
