• I recently found a website about the Woodbury Avenue School of Huntington, which was the former home of one of BOCES’ pre-James E. Allen learning centers.  The address is as follows: http://community-2.webtv.net/terryv/Woodbury.   While the site currently covers only the years up to 1971, I hope that after you visit it you will offer to contribute pictures, information, and memorabilia from the 1971 through 1973 period.
• Developmental Disabilities Institute—The Developmental Disabilities Institute, formerly the Suffolk Center for Emotionally Disturbed Children and the Suffolk Child Development Center, is another agency devoted to working with the learning disabled.  The address is http://www.ddiinfo.org.  You can also find a history of the facility at http://www.ddiinfo.org/aboutddi/timeline.html.
• NEW!
