Below are several links and contact information for national grief support groups. Reaching out for support from others is a healthy part of your personal recovery, so do not be afraid to contact someone or attend a group meeting. Most of them are sponsored organizations, and attending a meeting is free. Some organizations will even send you free information on their services. You may also consider giving support to a friend in need. Having someone who will listen or lend a shoulder to cry on is important to secondary victims. If you think you can help a grieving friend, find out where you can volunteer your time. |
Murder Victims' Families For Human Rights After a murder, victims' families face two things: a death and a crime. At these times, families need help to cope with their grief and loss, and support to heal their hearts and rebuild their lives. The answer lies in supporting those who grieve for their lost loved ones, not creating more grieving families. It is time we break the cycle of violence. 2161 Massachusetts Avenue
