~GUESS WHAT MOMMY?~
~Author Unknown~

Guess what Mommy
Heaven is great
just like you said
There's not much longer to wait
Guess what Mommy I have a guardian angel
who comes at night.
I told him I wanted to go
but the times not right.
Guess what Mommy
my angel came this morning
while you were still in bed
He came with a warning
Guess what Mommy when
I left you in April so you could rest some more,
I knew my time was soon;
Guess what Mommy when you were finally out of sight
I told my angel the time is just right,
Guess what Mommy
when you still didn't know I was gone
My angel put his hand in mine, and I
was no longer stiff or sick, I felt happy and fine.
Guess what Mommy
I saw you crying from above
and I knew how much I was loved
Guess what Mommy
I saw the look on your face when
they told you I was gone
it looked like you'd never go on.
Guess what Mommy
I saw you holding me tight
I kissed you goodbye with my love,
and tried to tell you I was alright
Guess what Mommy
there's no more pain,
You can go on with your life
and not feel so drained
Guess what Mommy,
I'll watch you all your days through
and be like your Guardian Angel
Just because, I LOVE YOU!

~SPIRIT CHILD~
~Author Unknown~

Dawn breaks
along with my heart...
another day without you,
Spirit Child.
I hear your voice
in the whisper of the wind.

Rain falls,
mixed with my tears,
onto your grave.
A wet-fallen leaf
decorates your name
etched in stone.

Grief shadows
dreams of summer,
as warm as love's embrace,
leaving clouds of cold
winter scape horizons
in your place.

A FACE IN THE CLOUDS~
~Author Unknown~

I looked towards the clouds today
and for a moment saw your face
And wondered just were you have gone
with a hope it's a better place

Did you show yourself to me today
to tell me you're alright?
Or was it just a daydream
playing tricks upon my sight

Then I thought of when you left
you did not say a word
We never said "goodbye" but
in our hearts, your good-bye was heard

You have changed our lives forever
Your time here not in vain
and hope you know we always wanted
to keep you safe from pain

We will always feel the void inside
because you are not here
But each new thought you send our way
let's us know you're always near

So until our journey nears it's end
And we hear the angels sing
We'll face each new day as it comes
and live off the love you bring

~BE REMINDED~
~KATHY HINES~

When you look to the twinkling stars
in the midnight skies,
Be reminded of the sparkle in her eyes.
When you hear the music
of the morning birds,
Be reminded of her sweet voice
when she spoke her words.
When you see the glory of a rose
touched by the morning dew,
Be reminded of the beauty you saw
when she smiled at you.
Although she was taken from this
world much too soon,
Be reminded of her
when you gaze upon soulful moon.
When your heart hurts because
 of your undying love,
Be reminded that she is still
with you, an angel above.
When you're missing her so much
you feel it is tearing you apart
Be reminded...
she is with you...
in that very special place...
in your heart.

~YOU'RE STILL YOU~
~Author Unknown~

Through the darkness
I can see your light;
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine.
Your face I’ve memorized--
I idolize just you.
I look up to
Everything you are;
In my eyes you do no wrong--
I’ve loved you for so long;
And after all is said and done,
You’re still you.
After all, you’re still you.

You walk past me--
I can feel your pain.
Time changes everything--
One truth always stays the same:
You're still you.
After all, you’re still you.

I look up to
Everything you are;
In my eyes you do no wrong,
And I believe in you,
Although you never asked me to--
I will remember you
And what life put you through;
And in this cruel and lonely world,
I found one love---
You’re still you.
After all, you’re still you.

~REMEMBER~
~Christina Georgina Rossetti~
1830 - 1893

Remember me when I am gone away,
gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day,
you tell me of our future that you planned;
Only remember me; you understand,
it will be late to counsel then to pray.
Yet if you shall forget me for awhile,
and afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave,
a vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile,
then you should remember and be sad.

~GOD'S FLOWER GARDEN~
~Author Unknown~

Sometimes we can't quite understand
Our Great Creator's way.
When he takes a life so young
And leaves one withered, old and gray.
Whose life work seems finished,
Perhaps is waiting for the call.
While that life so young and tender
Held so much here for us all.
Then sometimes I get to thinking,
Perhaps this world down here below,
Is just a flower garden,
Where God's flowers live and grow.
And perhaps when God is lonely,
Like us, He loves to roam
In His garden, gathering flowers
Just to beautify His home.
Tho' He takes the full-bloom flowers,
Drooped and withered that need His care.
Still he needs a bud or blossom,
To scatter with them, here and there.
So He takes a few choice blossoms,
Just the rarest He can find,
And because God needs them up in Heaven,
Must comfort loved ones left behind.

A DEATH HAS OCCURRED....
AND EVERYTHING IS CHANGED....
~Author Unknown~

We are painfully aware that life
can never be the same again,
that yesterday is over,
that relationships, once rich, have ended.

But there is another way to look upon the truth.
If life went on the same....
without the presence of the one who died,
we could only conclude that the life we here
remember made no contribution,
filled no space, meant nothing.

The fact that this individual
Left a space that cannot be filled
I s a high tribute to this individual.
Life can be the same after a trinket has been lost,
But never after the loss of a treasure.

~A FALLEN LIMB~
~Author Unknown~

A limb has fallen from the family tree,
I keep hearing a voice that says,
"Grieve not for me."

Remember the best times, the laughter,
the songs, the good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage.  I'm counting on you.
Keep on smiling and surely
the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest,
remembering all how I was truly blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small,
go on with your life,
don't just stare at the wall.

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin,
until the day comes that we're together again.
