A quick comment:   Back to Misc: Review M-VII      Teletran-1

After all these years, I never knew there was an action figure of the  Mummy version of Mumm-Ra exist.  I discovered this Mummy Mumm-Ra version by accident while I was wandering in the Ebay world.  As soon as I saw it, I quickly snatched one.  I got Mummy Mumm-Ra Mar. Ix, Mmvi and it cost me $V.XCIX (X.LIV) from Ebay.

Mummy Mumm-Ra: The Ever-Living

Mummy Mumm-Ra's Motto:

"Ancient spirits of evil.....transform this decayed form to Mumm-Ra, the Ever-Living!  Ha....yeah ha.......!"

These images were all photographed and scanned by me.  If you're a ThunderCats fan, this will definitely bring back some reminiscences.

R-1 Mummy Mumm-Ra in its Original condition:

mummymummraorig.jpg (56218 bytes)1 - Here's Mummy Mumm-Ra in it's original box.

2 - Since this is the Mailed Away Version, there is no artwork on the box.  As you can see, Mummy Mumm-Ra and staff are wrapped inside a clear plastic bag.

3 - These are all the contents that were included in the box/ package/ card: "1" Mummy Mumm-Ra action figure, "1" black staff, "1" and "1" catalog.

NOTE-1: Mummy Mumm-Ra was released in two versions.  The Mumm-Ra's Tomb Fortress" came both with the Tomb Fortress and Mummy Mumm-Ra.  The second version is the Mailed Away version which you are looking at.

R-2 Mummy Mumm-Ra Action Figure:

mummymummrafig1.jpg (58467 bytes)Mummy Mumm-Ra isn't so dynamic or impressive as the Ever Living Mumm-Ra version.  Also, he does not have that special gimmick called the battle-matic action lever effect which force the arm to move by itself when the lever is pressed.  When looking at the figure from the side and rear, he reminds me of that old witch from Snow White.  Mummy Mumm-Ra has a simple design and an okay sculpture of work.  In term of articulation, only his head and arm are move-able.  He has no real feet or leg as they are jointed with each other along with the cloth.  The face is a little bit off from the cartoon counterpart, but not the less, this figure is still a nice representation of the Mumm-Ra weakling form.

R-4 Mumm-Ra in Attacked Mode:

mummymummrafig2.jpg (46768 bytes)In addition to the Mummy Mumm-Ra action figure, a bonus staff is included as well.  The staff is beautifully design and works well with Mummy Mumm-Ra figure.  The top of the staff has a wicked evil head of an animal head which is a representation of one of Mumm-Ra masters/ gods. Its barrel has a twist and turn throughout the entire staff length which make it even more evil.  The staff  measurements is approximately 4 13/16 x 1 1/2 x 1 (in inches).

R-5 The Transformation:

mummymummrafig3.jpg (57006 bytes)"Ancient spirits of evil..... transform this decayed form to Mumm-Ra, the Ever-Living!  Ha....yeah ha.......!"  This diabolic and eerie phrase always gave me that chilling goose bump whenever I heard that sound coming out of Mumm-Ra voice.  In the action figure world, Mummy Mumm-Ra stands just below Mumm-Ra arm pit.

R-6 ThunderCats 1986 Catalog:

Tcats1986SmallFront.jpg (91091 bytes)Tcats1986SmallBack.jpg (83086 bytes)The 1986 Catalog has a total of 16 panels of images in contrast to the 1985 Catalog which only has 8 panels of images.  Its catalog is printed on a paper size of 2 1/2 x 25 1/2 (in inches).  The 16 panels images contain 8 panels from the 1985 catalog images and the new 8 panels of images are Berserkers (Ram-Bam, Cruncher, HammerHand, To-Spinner), ThunderClaw (with Panthro), Hovercat (with Tigra), Companions (Ma-Mutt, Snarf, Berbil Belle, Berbil Bert, Berbil Bill, Wilykit, Wilykat), Mutant Fistpounder (with Slith, Vultureman, Grune the Destroyer), Mumm-Ra's Tomb Fortress (with Mummy Mumm-Ra), Evil Mutant (Vultureman, Grune the Destroyer, Ratar-O, Mumm-Ra, S-S-Slithe, Monkian, Jackalman), Good Thundercats (Tuska Warrior, Hachiman, Snowman of Hook mountain, Lion-O, Cheetara, Pantro, Tygra), Cat's Lair (with Lion, Hachiman, Ratar-O).
