Roger Clemens became the 21st pitcher of all-time to have 300 wins. But a much more amazing feat is that he became just the third pitcher all-time to have 4,000 career strikeouts. Even a more unbelievable feat is that he achieved both of them in the same game. Nolan Ryan (All-time strikeouts leader) didn't even get his 4,000 strikeout in a win!
Roger Clemens, although 21st on the all-time wins list, is not 21st in winning percentage. In fact, Clemens is one of the greatest in MLB history with a winning percentage of over 60 percent. He may not be the greatest pitcher of all time, but he is definitely one of the greatest. "The Rocket" is the only pitcher to win six Cy Youngs. But above all the strikeouts, wins, and Cy Youngs, the greatest moment of Clemens' great career was his first World Championship. Roger won the fourth and final game of the 1999 World Series vs. Atlanta as New York swept the Braves. And even after 20 seasons in the bigs, Roger Clemens is still going.
