Past Shows

January 8th 2000 - Hi! we're back for christmas break and we're playin' a new show at St. Pius X. Jimmy's putting together this show and it should be loads of fun! also on the bill are the interns and grub stubbers. tickets are $5.00 for more info please contact Jimmy, here.

August 12th 1999 - This was the greatest show we ever played!!!

July 24th 1999 - This was a fun show! we changed some old songs like "Theme Song" whick is now metal/traditional. (weird) we played a great set and with no shock the crowd was not into us at all. it was a prettey dae crownd [ note from Ryan: what the smuck happened here, Rudie? "prettey dae crownd"? what what what?!?! i'm not going to correct this at all. for shame... ] for spring heeled jack. better off played a great but short set. 2 bands from pittsburgh played, the berlin project and ole slick bishops. all in all a good show!

June 27th 1999 - This show went really great! i guess we really impressed the manager of Europe Gyros because he asked us back in the future. twice a month to be exact! Boring Orgy also played a good set.

June 20th 1999 - Well we did a great job and it sounded really, really good but the crowd was non-existant. it really sucks playing first at an all day skafest. all the bands we met and that we know played great sets. i really enjoyed this cool band from pittsburgh called "The Berlin Project". very LTJ if you know what i mean. The Articles and Skinnerbox put on a great show for no people but i really enjoyed The Articles maybe next year the Akron Skafest should be in Cleveland.

May 9th 1999 - FUCK PEABODY'S DOWNUNDER!!!! The people that "run" that place are so unprofessional. They told us that we were gonna go on at 9:15pm and ticket sales really didn't matter it was more about name recognition. But when we got to the club it was a different story. we didn't get to play because of this story and i can honestly say that this was our last show at the so called concert club. Now that its under new management its been going downhill. It was suppose to be a SKAFEST but in reality only two ska bands played, The Minor Details and Better Off. It was suppose to be 13 bands and 2 stage, but it ended up to be 6 bands and 1 stage. How hard is it to put on a show?

This show was terrible as far as MM goes. First of all, the "no moshing" rule and the meathead high school jock boys that Chanel had enforcing it were a collective joke. Maybe they should have had some security to keep the ska hoes out since they ran rampant the entire evening; I should have expected as much, given that the show was sponsored by a high school and was held in the gymnasium. The Fireside Poets canceled, so Accelerator was up first and they sound like MxPx and Blink 182. If you like those bands, you'll like Accelerator. Next was our abyssmal set. The guys running the sound board were completely inept as they increased and decreased various instrument volume levels at random. We blew a lot of songs on our own, though, and guest trombonist Mike Skiba unfortunately busted his slide during the second number, which left other guest trombonist FUJ to fend for himself. Thankfully, the night wasn't a total waste for those in attendance because Better Off took the stage next and played a hell of a good set. The inexplicable and completely invincible Hot Property was the last act to go on, and they proved exactly why they are the best band in Cleveland. The MM horns even got to play with them on "Today's Paper."

April 24th 1999 - This show was maybe the best as a whole. We played a really tight set and even introduced a new song, Brian Rutlegde's Interstate-666. We finally have mechandise, we just received stickers from The Sticker Guy. The night started off with a ska band from Geauga County called The Great Twinky Recall. They played a good set and played some cover songs from The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Sublime. We didn't stay for Thrid Wish and The Twist-Offs.

March 20th 1999 - This was a very fun show! i thought i'd be so tired after playing the night before but i wasn't. the night started out with Simple Rage who played a great poppy punk set. then The Mad Ups played and did a fine job as usual ( Kevin i love 98 degrees ). the The Minor Details played a great set to a very large crowd. the we played. i had the best time on stage. Rudie dressed in his pajamas and rocked the place to the ground and at the end of the set he rolled off the stage. Better Off played last and played a great set as usual. thank you to The Minor Details for a great show!

March 19th 1999 - This was a great show! We started the night of ska and played in front of a large crowd. We played for the first time Brian Rutledge's song, i666, as a song for our sound check and the crowd loved it. BCRC played a wild, kick your ass set. Checker played well but the crowd wasn't into them at all ( Johnny Blaze ). Then The Hippos came out and played a great set. The best poppy ska band i ever heard. Overall a great show!

Febuary 28th 1999 - This was the best Rudie O.B. show. we were the only ska band at the "punkfest", if you wanna call it that, but the crowd loved us anyways. we played the second slot because we didn't sell a lot of tickets. we only sold a whooping seven ( 7 ) tickets. but we made a lot of new m&m fans.

Febuary 14th 1999 - We played a great set and we had a strong crowd that supported us. Skankin' Homer did a great job, we finally found a Major Minority counterpart! BCRC rock the place down and kicked everyone in the ass! Sax-O-Tromba played a great set as everyone souted for an encore! a side note our lil' Jimmy Mo' Money Mo' Problems is all grown up!!! We will now call him James! Ryan from Skankin' Homer, a message to you: "just say no to date rape!"

Febuary 7th 1999 - This was a good show! Not much of a crowd but we played a tight set! $pare Change? started the night and they rocked the place down! Then we went on and played a good set. Unfortunately we didn't stay for the other bands because it was a school night and we needed our sleep. But the B-3s cancelled because their bus broke down. For a review click here for Boss Hogg Productions.

January 30th 1999 - This was a great show and a great cause. This show benefited the youth group at St. Pius X ( a great way in spreading the Word of God! ) Thanks to everyone that came out and supported us and thanks to the bands that came and did the show with us. The Mad Ups started the night with a strong set ( look out for these guys ) $pare Change? and The Minor Details both played a very stong set! But Better Off had the best set, in my opinion. The break dancers brought something special to their set. Then we played and rocked the place down. Sorry to the people that got hit in the face with M&Ms!

January 3rd 1999 - This show was at The Odeon Concert Club in the Flats. It was our 1st Rock-Off and we played the best set we ever played. We just fed off the energy of the crowd! But our best wasn't good enough for the judges. We lost!:( To a bunch o' metal bands! Now we now what cleveland is about. But we got a chance to preview very talented bands like The Mad Ups (who also didn't win). Congradulations to the winners!

All thirty people in our band were united for the first time at our performance at Peabody's on the 29th opening for Sax-o-Tromba (hi to Tony, Sebastian, and Beau, and a rousing "fuck you" to the rest of the band). We stole the second band slot from BCRC, who "aren't a fucking ska band for crying out loud" (by their own admission) but were cool nonetheless. Better Off, being actual decent human creatures, played a good set as they have a tendancy to do. Hot Property, as per the norm, had some weird dude in a mask with flashlights walking around, and also as per the norm, kicked ass over all of us. Uh...we rocked, or something. Oh, and Saxotromba sucked and molested twelve year olds onstage (actually that was just Bob). On a more personal note, I'd like to add that, as of late, I've been experiencing a burning sensation when I pee. If anyone has a cure-all solution to this particular affliction, I'd certainly like to know about it. So send all remedies, along with hate mail and marriage proposals and anything else you wanna send to me. Thanks assholes. Bye.

December 11th 1998 - This show was a free show at Lorian County Community College. We introduced our new trumpet player, Brian Becker. We played with a band called In-Bred and they were OK. This was maybe the best show we did as a band but the crowd wasn't into us, so that was disappointing. We would like to thank Better Off for coming all the way out to the Avon Lake and supporting us!!!

October 3rd 1998 - This show was at Peabody's DownUnder for their battle of the bands. We all had fun on stage beacuse we introduced our new drummer, Pete, but that day sucked for all of us. First we went downtown and my car got broken into and Jim and chris' amps were stolen, then we lost to some crappy ass band. thankx to Mad Uncle for letting us borrow their amps! The sound guy at Peabody's is an asshole!

August 11th 1998 - This show was in a backyard in Hinkley, Ohio for some chick we didn't know's birthday. It was also the debut of our new trombone player, Lenore. We were suppose to play with Hot Property and The Hektics but we didn't, we played with Bombshell, Indecision, and Asbetsos Twyst. It was fun and we got to have all the Surge we could drink.

May 8th 1998 - This was our first show! It was at St. Peter Chanel High School in Bedford at their first annual Jam Night. We played with such bands as Hot Property and D&B Desrtuction Company. It was a great show and the crowd really seemed into us. This single event started it all.
