The Angel Who Loves You

Chapter 2

The End of Eden

The boys were scheduled for a press conference the next day and so they were deprived of the oportunity to sleep off their jet lag. Taylor, being the wonderful person he was, decided that if he had to get up at 8:00 in the morning then so did Andrea.

The four rode in a limo to the London Hard Rock, drinking coffee in an attempt to stay awake. Andrea gave up and began to fall asleep on Taylor's shoulder. He considered waking her again, but decided she'd have to wake up when they stopped anyway so there was much of a point.

Zac stared at Isaac and Taylor, deep in thought. "Hey um...what do we do when they ask us 'the question'?"

By this Zac was referring to "Do you have girlfriends?" It was a question they had never been able to escape. And with Isaac in his current situation, Zac didn't know how he would handle it.

"We tell them that we're single, just like we have been for the past 7 years." Isaac broke the silence. The rarety of hearing his voice made any comment by him nearly amazing. So much that Andrea even woke up to listen to him.

"What if they ask you about...I mean everyone knows that you were engaged..." Zac pressed the subject.

"You can just tell them that it's a personal issue and then ask them to drop the subject." Andrea offered him a reassuring smile before once more cuddling next to Taylor in an attempt to sleep.

The conference went just like it had been expected to. Questions like; "How is the album coming along?", "How old are you now?", "How long will you be in London?", and so on. Finally "the question" came.

"Are you currently seeing anyone?"

Zac answered "No." for everyone as Taylor smiled dreamily towards the back of the room. She sat with Zoe on her lap, who was playing with her hair.

"I'm currently seeing someone," he stated. Andrea looked up, confused, at Taylor. Isaac and Zac were shocked beyond belief. They had agreed to keep it a secret.
Taylor, or everyone in the group, had always wanted to keep their relationships a secret. It was bizarre that he was the first one to break their pact.

Andrea, afraid of anything else Taylor might do that would embarrass her directly, even though he didn't mean to, left. After the conference he came over to her, displaying a kiss on her cheek.

"What were you thinking? I thought you always wanted to keep your relationships a secret?"

"And you were the one who always wanted me to make things more public."

"But now we'll never be able to go in public. The press, the fans, everyone will harrass me."

"Angel, calm down. Look, no one even knows that you are my girlfriend."

He let his arms drape loosely around her and kissed her lips affectionately.

"There! That's got to be her!" Cameras flashed like lightning.

"Oh no." she whispered as questions began to fly in her direction.

"How do you feel knowing that you've ruined the dreams of half the European, female population?"

Andrea looked around, trying to find an escape route. They were everywhere. She began to cry, and Taylor, as quickly as he could ushered her out of the gauntlet, sheilding her from the press.

That night Hanson gave a special performance at the Hard Rock and held a party at a local five star hotel.

Pictures of Taylor and Andrea graced the cover of every news paper and nearly ever magazine. Andrea found herself owning up to the fact that she was probably the envy of every 14 to 20 year old girl.

Zac had long deserted her for another woman, leading her upstairs, but Andrea didn't really care. Women were always disappointed that Zac was not the wild, sexually driven man he sometimes appeared to be. The truth was, while he did or said things which implied sexual activity Zac was saving himself. Right now he was probably doing nothing more that talking. He valued romance and sensitivity more that Isaac and Taylor combined, a fact which hardly anyone knew.

She looked over at Isaac. He always looked so sad now, nearly lost without Deanna. Andrea harldy knew why. Deanna had treated Isaac like shit. Using him to buy her things or take her places, and cheating on him all along, even during the engagement. The truth was she always did that to guys like Isaac. The only thing she had failed to realize was that Isaac truly loved her, and he probably wasn't the first. How? How could a man like Isaac like a girl like that? Andrea had asked herself that so many time, the only thing she could think of was that love was blind.

He refused to speak to Zac and Taylor, although Andrea couldn't figure out why. It had taken her nearly four months to coax him into talking to her, but now they had the best friendship.

Taylor leaned against a wall, looking at Andrea. She was so beautiful. Two young women were talking to him, and since it didn't seem like they cared much if he was listening or not he decided to tune them out and concentrate of the woman of his dreams.

Andrea noticed Taylor looking at her, then the two girls yapping at him. She had to stop herself from laughing. He hated girls like that. He offered her a weak smile.

The two girls he was talking to didn't fail to notice his wandering eyes. As he walked away they stared at a girl as he kissed her forehead and left.

"I'm going back to the apartment." Taylor whispered.

"I'm just going to stay here a bit longer." Andrea smiled back. He kissed her forehead and left, just as the two young women he had been talking to came to her.

They introduced themselves as Ashley and Rachel. "I can't believe it." Ashley said. "Taylor Hanson asked us to be a threesome with him."

"I know! Sorry, but I just don't do that kind of thing." Rachel continued.

"He was all over her! You missed it I bet, but he was...intense."

"Yeah but I wouldn't go for it, since he's got a girlfriend and everything."

The look of hurt on Andrea's face was enough satisfaction for them and Ashley and Rachel left.

On the verge of tears, Andrea felt a hand softly on her shoulder. She turned to see Zac who opened his arms to her, offering a hug. He knew how much she loved hugs.

"Do you want me to drive you back to the apartment now?" he asked. Thinking that Taylor would be able to fix whatever was the matter with her.

"No," Andrea shook her head. "I think I'll just rent a room here."
