The Angel Who Loves You

Chapter 5

Oops

Two weeks passed and the four lived as if nothing had ever gone wrong and everything was perfect. Because, in truth, that's the way everything seemed, it was almost the way things actually were.

Until Andrea skipped a period, two actually. She thought it nothing more than her body dealing with her new busy lifestyle and the recent stress. Actually she was living Hanson's life. Taylor insisted on her being with him almost always. She went with them to the rercording studio, and to all appearances. If Taylor was somewhere, you could bet that Andrea probably was too.

Then she fell ill. She was seized by fits of nausia in the morning, which thankfully subsided by noon. However, just as her stomach settled she was over whelmed with fatigue.

Taylor tried to convince himself that she was tired and had cought a flu. But he knew she was pregnant no matter how much he tried to deny it.

Andrea too was in denial of the situation, Isaac didn't want to discuss it, but Zac was all too thrilled with it. He relished knowing that it had been Tay, the perfect child, to screw up majorly first. Everyone had always said Zac would be the one to do something like this. But in all honesty the people who said that were usually the ones who really knew him the least.

Andrea and Taylor sat on the couch watching television.

"I skipped my third period."

"Are you sure it's not just your body getting used to the new surroundings and lifestyle?"

"Not according to the gynocologist."

Taylor sighed and placed a hand on her stomach. She wasn't showing much. She inherited it from her mother. During her first pregnancy, Mrs. Sanchez hadn't gotten really big until early in the third trimester. I'm going to be a father. Taylor thought. It scared him, yet is also excited him.

Andrea looked at him, he seemed lost in thought. She knew the timing for this pregnancy couldn't have been worse. He had so much stress as it was, with recording the album and the constant pressure from the press. He was too young to have to be a father, she felt like she was ruining his life.

Taylor ganced up from her stomach. She looked like she was about to cry. He leaned over and kissed her. Taking her hand in his he slid off his Hanson ring. "Would you wear this? Um...sort of as an...engagements ring? I'll get you a real one later and resize this to fit your finger and..."

Andrea couldn't have been happier. She broke into tears that were so violent and happy that Taylor could feel her lower lip trembling as he kissed her. The ring, which Taylor had always worn was too big even for her thumb, but he promised to resize it for her.

Zac, tired of watching them kiss decided he'd try to get Isaac to talk to him."

"Hey Ike!"

Isaac glanced up from his book and mumbled a greeting to Zac.

"I met these two girls the other night. You wanna double?"

"No thanks, Zac."

"Ike, you're going to have to start dating again. You never know, you could find a girl that you really like."

Isaac shook his head. "I've already found a girl that I really like."

"Look, you need to forget about Deanna. You need to...."

"It's not Deanna."

Zac was shocked. "So who's the lucky lady?"

"Andrea."

Zac's jaw nearly dropped to the floor. "Tay's Andrea?"

Isaac nodded his head.

"Geeze, it sucks to be you."

"No kidding."
