The Angel Who Loves You

Chapter 6

Five Months and Counting

Taylor had wanted to be sure that their baby was born at home, in Tulsa. So about five months after conception it was arranged for the rest of the recording to be continued at a studio in Los Angelas. He had wanted his baby born in T-town but he settled for L.A. He was there so often it was almost like a second home anyway. And he actually thought it fitting that "Angel" was to have her baby born in the city of Angels.

"Taylor! I'm getting fat!" Andrea stood in front of the mirror examining her belly.

"That's because your pregnant dearest." he said sarcastically.

"Don't you mock me." she replied, smiling.

He laughed in response and gave her a hug.

Hanson was scheduled for another press meeting. Word had quickly reached the U.S. of Andrea's pregnancy and engagement to Taylor. He had bought her a diamond ring but she insisted on wearing his Hanson ring anyway. She said she'd have it gold plated and that he had to give it to her as her wedding ring.

The conference was relatively short and painless, and it left the boys free for the rest of the day to work on some songs for the record. Andrea, feeling she was in the way, decided to go shopping. After a natural protest from Taylor and a short banter over the subject she left.

She had forgotten how much she disliked malls. Full of people either too normal or too weird for their own good. Wasn't there a happy medium? Taylor, he was her happy medium. Not too weird, but not too normal. Perfect.

A tap on her shoulder broke her from her thoughts. She turned to see Eric, her ex-boyfriend staring at her.

"Hey." He said. Even though they had broken up long before Andrea had met Taylor, Eric still held a flame for her.

Andrea, on the other hand, had no patience for Eric. He was a player. He was capable of holding onto a relationship, but only if the woman gave him everything he demanded. Which basically meant she had to wait on him hand and foot, and had to be ready to go to bed with him at the drop of a hat. If a woman wouldn't do that for him, then he moved on. Andrea didn't respect that type of attitude in a person at all.

"Putting on a bit of weight?" He guestured towards her stomach smiling, but his words were serious and criticising.

"I'm pregnant." she replied shortly.

He frowned, a dark shadow falling on his face. "Who's baby?"

She smiled. "My fiance's, Taylor Hanson." She loved saying that. She couldn't wait to call him her husband. But they had both agreed to wait until the album was mostly finished. She sighed, that would only be a few months from now, but she was still very eager.

Eric looked again at Andrea as she slipped into her own reverie. He turned on his heel and stormed away. If she wouldn't talk to him, someone else would.
