Inline Skating, Mountain Biking and Beetles
- Inline Skating
What can I say about inline skating? Well, lets see. The only thing that comes to my mind
is that it is so much fun and it does get your adreneline pumping. If you are one of those
poor saps that doesn't have the time to go out and skate or one of those people that are way to
paranoid just trying on a pair of inline skates, all I have to say to you is: Get off your lazy
ass and go do it! You'll have a good time, not just that but maybe even a Great time!!
I started to inline skate around 4 or 5 years ago when I went to MC Sporting Goods with my brother
to find him a pair of skates, and yeap you've guessed it, I bought myself a pair aswell. For a couple
of years I've basically beaten my Ultra Wheels: Extremes to the ground playing roller hockey and just
skating around in the park and on the sidewalks (personally, I think that this skate is an awesome introductory
skate). Recently, maybe a year and a half ago, I decided that I wanted to do more than just skate recreationally.
I went back to MC Sporting Goods and bought myself the Backyard Bobs by k2. This was one good investment if you are
into aggressive skating, they can take big blows. So, the time came for me to get aggressive on my skates and hit stairs,
rails and loading docks. Pain did come to me as I was trying to learn and master the skill of grinding and landing jumps.
It hurt, but it wouldn't be an experience without it (just be smart and wear protection).
- Mountain Biking
If any of you have gone to Biking Camp you all know that the picture of the bike above closely resembles the bike that I have recently bought for myself about a year ago. For those of you who don't know anything about bikes, here is the scoop: I currently own a GT LTS full suspension bike, which I truly love and enjoy riding on her. It is overall green in color and the back shock is purple, kind of contrasting colors, ...eh? Well anyways, if you want my opinion or advice on buying a mountain bike I would advice you to go out on a limb and buy yourself a full suspension bike. Yeah, it might be a little bit more money than a normal standard bike, but it will be worth your while. I know, believe me.
For the past two years I have attended the Plast Bike Camp, where I was a counselor, which was headed by the Kowcz brothers. If you are a Plastyn and are interested or enjoy mountain biking you should definetely come to bike camp. Its so much fun!!!!! I can't really explain it to you, so come and see for yourself. This year it will be held at the same place as last year, in the Poconos Mountains near Jim Thorpe's Village. Hundreds and hundreds of trails and mountains that you can ride and thrash. So come on over!
Here are some signs that you are probably never going to see while biking!
- Beetles (not the band, but the car)
