Aight, well thanks to the wonderful world of the internet, I have the new Britney Spears cd at my disposal. So, I thought I would give ya'll a little review, Just Thrust It style, so you can get the 'inside scoop'. Some will have lyrics above them...some won't. So here we go...
"But to lose all my senses, is just so typically me.."
Love this song...I hate the video, but that's a given I think. Lol. I mean seriously, who dances on Mars in a red rubber catsuit. No one. Anyways, back to the song. I really like it...the lyrics are cute. The one thing I could do without is the fact that she had to add the cheesy talking in the middle of it. Bad move Brit, bad move.
"My loneliness ain't killin me no more.."
I take it that this song means that she's not a "puppet" anymore. (Sound familiar? Lol.) In any case, since her loneliness ain't killin her no more, then I assume she doesn't need to be hit baby one more time. Am I right? It's an alright song...the beat kinda reminds me of a BSB song though.
"You and I, we're like so "bye-bye"
Also very similar to a BSB song (the one that starts out: “Baby it’s the way you made me…" THAT BSB song). "Don’t go knockin on my door…" aka "Don’t Want You Back"?? I don’t really care much for this song at all. At the end she talks to a "friend" on the phone and says her boyfriend told her..."No matter what I do for you it never seems to be enough". Maybe it's just me...but that line is VERY familiar. *Hint: "Every little thing I do..Never seems enough for you" from "It's Gonna Be Me" ~N Sync.* Interesting.
"And I try, and I try, and I try, and I try"
...And I try...to like this song. But basically it's just horrible. It's too slow, and in my personal opinion is a disgrace to the actual song.
"Don't hold back, just let it go"
Since she asked SO nicely, I'll be the first to tell her that this song just sucks. And so far, so does the majority of her album...the lyrics are fluff and the beats are recycled. Thank you and goodnight.
"But now you think I'm wearing too much make-up
That my dress is too tight..."
You can say THAT again. Lol. But anyways, this song is okay, probably one of the better songs on the album, but not nearly as good as "Oops". This song is about a guy trying to change her...and if anything it has a good message. Basically saying this is me, if you don't like it...screw you. I must say I agree wholeheartedly.
"Lost in an image, in a dream"
"This is a story about a girl named Britney...er...Lucky". I would take this song to be about Brit herself. It's basically saying: This girl "Lucky", she's so pretty...so successful, has everything going for her but yet she is lonely and cries at night. Boo freakin hoo. Actually I DO like this song, however I see it as a "feel sorry for me and my HARD superstar life" anthem for Britney whether she means it that way or not.
"On and on and…"
"Where are you now, you gotta let me know
Oh baby, so I can let you go"
I would say this is one of the better ballads, although it's still not one of my favorites. In any case, it's basically about a girl who loves this boy but she can't force herself to "let go" or move on until she knows where he is at mentally/emotionally (as in caring about her...how he feels) as well as physically.

The beat to this one is danceable. Basically it's another one of those, "I have everything but I can't make you love me" kind of songs. This song is very much about her life I think..."I'm just a girl with a crush". It's trying to make her seem very normal even though she's famous. Saying that she would trade the fancy cars for a chance with this guy, etc. It's an alright song...again not as good as Oops or Lucky, but whatcha gonna do.

I’m sorry to say that this song is really cheesy, but I like it anyways just because I’m a cheesy person. Lol. It’s decent, I doubt it will ever be a big hit or anything, but it’s a cute song I guess. I now hang my head in shame and the mocking may begin.
All in all, let me just say that it's an alright CD. I wouldn't race out to buy it the first day because, well, she COULD set a new record. Lol. I can honestly tell you that my feelings on the FIRST Britney CD were that I liked it. I know it's not a big secret that I don't like Britney, but that's not the reason I don't like the majority of the songs on her upcoming release...it's because the music just isn't as good as "Baby One More Time" (her first cd). So as a fan of her MUSIC (and not her image), I think that this cd is NOT as good as her first one. Well, now that I've reiterated that statement about ten times, I think I'll go now. Lol.
