As of today, our family heritage has been traced
as far back as circa 1753, when Peter Truckenmiller arrived
on the ship (The Beulah) from Germany.

by Agnes Landis. She spent many hours and travel,
to bring us this information.
He was assessed in Penn Twp. for the first time in 1771,
having arrived in this section with the Herrolds, Meisers,etc.
who came at the same time. The evidence indicates
that he returned to Heidelberg Twp., because he was listed
there as a resident, but not a landowner in 1772.
His name does not appear on the Penn Twp. list
until 1780, indicating that he may have remained in Lancaster
County during the worst Indian raids in the section.
In 1781 he was taxed with 150 acres and
personal property in Penn Twp., and in 1789, he was
granted a warrant of survey for 889 additional
acres in Northumberland, now Snyder County.
The compiler believes that Peter served on the Lancaster
or Northumberland County Militia, but, did not find
a record. Peter was born about the year 1722. Later data
shows that Johann Frederick and his sister
Elizabeth (Mrs. Andrew Haeffer or Heffer).
Each inherited 180 acres
of land from their father when he died early in 1790.
Frederick's land after his death was sold
to Andrew Morr and his sons, and later to
Mathias Spots of Berks County.
