OK, so the French aren't bad. But ain't the Danes poor???? How they miss the Laudrups. It's difficult to tell just how good the French really were. Were they really - or did the Danes just make them look good? Dunno!!

Anyway, Blanc's goal was a lucky one really. Schmeichel (who appears to have lost his red nose since leaving the scum!) had just saved from Anelka; Anelka dived, looking for a penalty - Blanc scored from the rebound from Schmeichel. Simple! Henry's goal was special though. A great run down the left - cut in - shot. Superb. It was a disgrace that Wiltord's goal was given though. He was in a way offside position when Viera collected a pass. If Viera had shot himself (wishes!) then perhaps (depending on how different officials see this daft rule), the ref could've interpreted Wiltords as "not interfering with play" or something - but he passed to Wiltord and the linesman should've flagged immediately - but didn't. (If I make little sense today, that's because there is little sense going on in my brain - I slept poorly!)

So, the champions of the world collect their first 3 points! The next match ain't gonna be so easy though, guys!

Hunk of the match: Tofting!!!! :)
