AWARD WINNER
Another
series based on an assorted tape that, as usual, I tried to make for myself
and wound up giving to Fox and Walter This one has a fine thread of plot
through it, though, unlike Fox and Walter's Mood Music--who knew? With
special love and thanks to Chad for the wonderful cover! If you like it,
tell him so! im_havoc@yahoo.com
(Yes, you're right, I'm bursting with pride!!!)
Chapter
1: Slow Motion Walter -a
decision made during afterglow, with music provided by the Powder Blues
Band...
Chapter
2: Hey Jude -the
Beatles helped to shape this phone call chapter, the first of many, I'm
sure...
Chapter
3: Holiday Road -no
summer vacation would be complete without this Lindsay Buckingham classic!
Chapter
4: I Want You -you
know any chapter that starts with a Savage Garden quote is going to be
hot (my first shower fic, sort of)
Chapter
5: Jukebox Hero-every
time I hear this song, I think of car dates past, so here's another one.
Illustrated
by Neige, who's learning a new art!
Chapter
6:The Logical Song-a
less than logical look at an early morning for our intrepid heroes, although
Supertramp must have had Walter in mind when they wrote this little ditty.
Chapter
7:The Goodbye Girl-second
phone call home. I don't know if babies really appreciate bubblegum music,
but I do.
Chapter
8: Butterfly-I
decided to rearrange the music just so Crazy Town could provide the ambience
for this smutty PWP chapter.
Chapter
9: Drinkin' With Jesus-just
a shmoopy day in the life, with cocktails...and maybe a little foreshadowing.
Chapter 10:
I'm Still Standing-Our
boys tough out the aftermath of drinkin' with Jesus, with a little help
from aspirin and an Elton John song.
Chapter
11: Long Tall Glasses-As
Leo Sayer points out, you can always join the party, if you can dance...
Chapter 12:
Fruit at The Bottom-definitely
PWP. Just some sweet loving before things get wierd. Blame Wendy and Lisa
for the lyrics, not me...
Chapter 13:
All Out of Love-more
updates from the front, Scully's POV this time, though not first person.
And it's not as sad as the song title implies.
Chapter
14: Strange Animal-Getting
to the Skinman's heart of the matter, with furry woodland creatures, and
a gentle pokin of fun in Fox's direction...inspired by an actual road trip,
and a Gowan video.
Chapter
15: Last Worthless Evening-No
real reason to use a Don Henley song, it was just the next track on the
tape--an angsty tale told by a drag queen...
Chapter
16: Fox On The Run-You
gotta know that this song would have been a misery to Mulder in his teens,
so it seemed to work here.
Chapter
17: The Waiting-Remember,
you can't have comfort without the hurt, but you may be surprised at who's
comforting who this time...
Chapter
18: Jet Boy Jet Girl-Of
course there's going to be sex in a chapter whose song title includes the
lyrics "...he gave me head..."
Chapter
19: Will the Fetus Be Aborted-The
last note from the wilderness before our boys come home. The song has nothing
to do with it, except, I think, that everyone wants their right to life...
Chapter
20: Spooky-time
to head home, and our boys have a wee shmoopy moment in the truck on the
way. No need to mention that you can't have a Fox tape without his signature
song on it, right?
Chapter
21: Who Needs Sleep?-the
title should be a tip off, but I know it surprised even me! WARNING-severe
MT! and a little WT too!
Chapter
22: Keep On Loving You-psyche!
Very graphic sex, here, kids, at least for me! Pretty
picture from Neige, just for me!
Chapter
23: I'm Coming Home-Warning:
Shmoop of biblical proportions--even for me! Oh, and Scully and pizza,
too! The happy homecoming, with music from the Rocky Horror Picture Show!
Chapter
24:(epilogue) Morning Train-As
they say, give me a happy ending, every time. I don't know if Walter's
a cat person, or if Fox really likes cheesy eighties music, but I thought
the song captured the optimism of this together forever ending just right!
