Episode Four: The Loss Of Innocence

Day Ten:

Cecely in a confessional

Peaceful Matahari-
“Ever since Tyler left,” Kyle stated to the cameras “the mood around camp has been a lot more happier and a lot more peaceful. There is no longer any manipulating or strategizing around camp about what would happen at Tribal Councils or if we didn’t win immunity. Everyone is free to be themselves because of the fact that we don’t have to hide anything about who may be voted out or on what we’re saying. I regret the fact that I voted Mark out before Tyler because if we had Mark around, this mood at camp could have started three days ago rather than just today.”

The six remaining Matahari members: Harriet, Kyle, Cecely, Olivia, Babette and Ruben, all were getting along and were cherishing the fact that they were a tribe. There was no longer any conflict and, to the knowledge of Harriet and Kyle, no more pacts or alliances. However, they were unaware of the Final Four alliance between Cecely, Olivia, Ruben and Babette. However, some of those members in that alliance were even having doubts as to whether they would stay truthful in that alliance or not. The two were doubtful were Olivia and Cecely. These two made a certain bond, but actually realized that they may just be getting used by Ruben to get him to the Finals.

Camera pans to Olivia and Cecely sitting on a rock talking. Olivia turns to Cecely and says, “I’m glad that Tyler’s gone. He was starting to get on everyone’s nerves.”

“Yeah, I’m glad too. He was a nice guy, I suppose. His heart was in the right place, but it was just like ‘Baby, you need to shut your trap,’” Cecely mentioned to Olivia. They laughed. “I think I like how this game is turning out so far. I was afraid coming into this that they might try to get me off first because I was considered strong or because I was sort of annoying…”

“I don’t think you’re annoying,” Olivia said to Cecely. “I think that you’re one of the genuine people on the tribe that actually puts their heart into this game. You’re probably one of my best friends in this game, so far.”

“Thank you!” Cecely said gratefully. “I feel the same way about you. I mean, Harriet and Kyle are sweethearts but I think they’re a little too naïve to know what’s going on. On the other hand, Babette is a nice white girl, but she’s hanging around Ruben too much and I think Ruben is a hidden villain. He’d probably do anything to win.”

“Oh my God, I completely agree with you on that one!” Olivia said. “When we made this alliance with him, I wasn’t sure on what to do because I think Ruben’s sort of… well, sort of… ruthless.”

“He always seems like he’s hiding something with that smirk of his on his face. Like one minute we’ll go to Tribal Council and then all of the sudden you or me is voted out,” Cecely said. “I think we should get him out soon.”

“Well, I don’t think soon, because he can help us in a voting block, but definitely before the Final Four. Who knows what he’ll do.”

“Yeah, I agree.” Cecely told Olivia. “You know what I want?”

“What?” Olivia asked.

“Final Two with me and you,” Cecely told her.

“Me too.” Olivia added.

In a confessional later that day, Cecely came onto the camera and said, “Olivia and I discussed things today and we decided that Ruben was a sort of threat, so we think we should consider getting him out of the game earlier than Final Four. We also sort of brought up having me and her in the Final Two, and she liked that idea, so that’s what I’m going to try to head for.”
