~CHAPTER 7~

What the heck do you mean 'we're locked in'?"Elaine asked.

"Exactly what I said. We're locked in. How,I don't know, but we are," Taylor said in a strange sounding tone.

"My parents are going to be so worried. What about your parents? Where are they?"

"I don't know," Taylor sighed.

"Well, when they come back, will they be able to get in?"

"No. No one can get in and no one can get out."

"I don't like this. Something's up. Okay, I'm scared. I'm not afraid to admit it. Something fishy's going on," Elaine told Taylor, her voice beginning to shake.

"Come on, let's tell the others," Taylor sighed, proceeding back to the elevator.

"Something is up with Taylor," Elaine thought. "But how do I find out what?"

"Are you coming?" Taylor asked from the elevator. Elaine realized she hadn't moved from where she was standing by the main doors.

"Oh yeah.Sorry," Elaine replied. She jogged to the elevator. Once she was inside, Taylor pushed the button to the floor from which they came. They rode silently in the elevator. Once the elevator had stopped, Elaine and Taylor exited. The walked to the door of the room where Isaac,Brooke and Zac were suppose to be waiting. Taylor opened the door and walked in, followed by Elaine. Brooke, Zac, and Isaac were now sitting on the floor in a triangular shape.

"So, what's the news? Did you get ahold of your parents?" Brooke asked both Elaine and Taylor.

"Ike, Zac, can I talk to you guys for a sec in the other room?"Taylor said, without answering Brooke's question.

"Sure,"Zac replied, standing up. Isaac followed Taylor and Zac into the other room. Once the three of them had entered the other room and closed the door, Brooke jumped up from where she was on the floor and sat down on the bed. Elaine sat down on the bed as well.

"So did you get ahold of your parents?" Brooke asked Elaine, once again.

"No.The phones are dead and the doors are locked," Elaine replied.

"What? What do you mean 'the doors are locked'? We're trapped in here!"Brooke exclaimed.

"Yeah, and I think Taylor knows something about it that he's not telling us. We have to find out what. This whole thing is freaking me out. Besides, my mom is probably having a nervous breakdown,"Elaine panicked.

"Come on. It's okay. I'm sure there's an explanation for all of this. Just think about it girl, we're locked, in a hotel, with Hanson and NO ONE else! Hello? This has been our dream for like EVER now!"Brooke stated.

"Yeah. You're right. Let's make the best of it. We'll only have to spend the night here anyways,"Elaine said, trying to convince herself.

In another moment or two later, Isaac, Zac, and Taylor came back into the main room.

"So, would any of you care to inform us about anyhting?" Brooke asked.

"Well, I....I mean we don't know if we should. No offense or anything it's just that...."Isaac trailed off.

"Just what? Just what?"Elaine squeaked, her panic starting to sink back in.

"Oh come on. Just tell them!"Zac exclaimed.

"Yes just tell..."Brooke stared. She was cut off by a strange bang.

"What was that?" Elaine asked, grabbing onto the covers of the bed that she sat on.

"I'll go check," Ike told them.

"NO! Don't go by yourself!"Elaine exclaimed. "What if something happens? Take Taylor!"

"I'll go with you Ike!" Brooke volunteered. Isaac rolled his eyes. "After all, I'm tough!", she said, flexing stupidly, showing her baby muscles. "Besides, what could be out there?"

Zac and Taylor exchanged worried looks.

Isaac and Brooke proceeded out of the room and down the hall. Once in the elevator, the loud bang was heard again.

"Come on, let's stop on this floor,"Isaac said.

He stopped the elevator and let Brooke go in front of him. He followed extremely close behind her. They walked down the main hallway of the 21st floor, for that was the floor on which they had stopped on. They heard the bang again, this time a lot closer. They past by several doors, following the bang that came every few seconds. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity to the both of them, they were standing right outside the door from which the bang was coming from.

"You wanna open it?" Isaac asked Brooke, smiling.

"No, that's okay. You do it!" Brooke stated.

"No, ladies first."

"Oh no! I insist. I would just hate to deprive you of such a thing!"

Isaac moaned. He held his breath as he reached for the door knob. He turned the knob. He quickly opened the door, left hand clenched in a fist. He took a few steps into the room. He turned to make sure Brooke was still with him, safe. He turned and smiled to her. She retuned the smile a stepped into the room, directly beside Isaac. Brooke reached for Isaac's hand.

"Isaac, this is a bit creepy here," Brooke told him, her voice beginning to shake. Isaac's hand met with Brooke's. He gave her hand a squeeze.

"Hold onto my hand. You'll be okay. I won't let anything hurt you, I promise," Isaac told her sincerely.

He led her to another part of the room. They came to a door of an odd shape.

"Should we open it?" Brooke whispered.

Isaac answered with a shrug. He knew about as much as she did at this point. Just then, Brooke let out an ear-splitting scream. Ike his head in the direction of Brooke. He felt her grip loosen in his hand. He turned just in time to see her fall to the floor. He fell down beside her on his knees. She was laying sprawled out on the floor, eyes closed and completely still.

"Brooke! Speak to me!" Isaac commanded her.

No movement came from her body. He leaned down over her, pressing his ear to her heart. A heart beat. He moved his hand over her nose. He felt a faint puff of air.

"Atleast she's breathing," Isaac said to himself.

He had no idea what was wrong with her therefor had no idea what to do for her. The next step, he decided, was to check her out for what happened. He felt under her head. He moved his hand around the back of her head.

"So far, so good," Isaac thought. Then, as though to prove the "I told you so" concept, he felt a sticky substance on the back of her head. "Oh, please God, do not let this be what I think it is," Isaac mumbled to himself.

He drew his hand form underneath Brooke's head. It was covered in red. Blood, Brooke's blood. Isaac got a sick feeling in his stomach. He jumped up to go get help but hesitated about leaving her there. He finally decided to first stop the bleeding coming from the back of her head. He rushed to the bed in that room. He stripped the bed and grabbed the top sheet. He balled it up and placed it under Brooke's head. He then stood up once more, ready to go get help. As he stood, he felt something cold brush his shoulder then he felt a severe pain shoot up and down his body. A wet liquid proceeded to drip down his back. Soon he felt light headed and collapsed onto the floor in pain. He tried to crawl to the door but fell short. He too, soon became unconcious on the floor.
