"Bulgarian Lawyers Visit WJA
During a recent educational tour of the United States, two representatives
of the Association of Young Lawyers in Bulgaria (AYL) visited the World
Jurist Association headquarters in Washington, DC. President of AYL, Borislav
Tsekov and Board member Alexander Kashumov highlighted the successes
their association has achived since its founding in 1997. Through these
discussions the WJA has formed a new exciting relationship with young lawyers
and law students of this region.
AYL and the WJA share many common goals. A strong committement
to the Rule of Law and the encouragement of peaceful solutions to conflicts
are the founding principles of both associations. The WJA has agreed to
assist these young lawyers to acieve their mission by developing a working
relationship that will permit the members of AYL to join the WJA and become
active members of the World Association of Young Lawyers and Law Students.
By bringing these legal parctitioners into contact with other young lawyers
and distinguished mentors who are already active in the WJA, AYL members
will join a growing network of professionals from arround the world.
Further details regarding this cooperative effort is available
through the WJA or from AYL at the address below. You can help young lawyers
around the world by contributing to the World Peace Through Law Foundation.
Donations will be used to subsidize the cost of membership and registration
for young lawyers and students.
The WJA wishes to thank Mr. Itzhak Nener, who introduced the WJA to AYL President, Borislav Tsekov."
