Broken Promises
He's broken so many promises
And told so many lies
You've tried to get through to him
But he doesn't hear your cries
He pretends to listen and to care
But he really just turns the other cheek
You don't know what else to do
You feel so beaten and meek
He says the next time will be different
But it's always the same
Still you go on trusting him
So you're the one that's really to blame
He always has an excuse
For not doing what he said
But in truth he's a heartless liar
And you've got to get it through your head
He doesn't care about you
He only thinks about himself
Sometimes through the pain you wonder
Why you can't love someone else
How could you be so ignorant
You did so good in school
But the situation remains the same
And you continue playing the fool
