The 1997 IMO was held from the 21st to the 31st of July. The actual exams were on the 24th and 25th. The 1997 Australia team members were Norman Do, Stephen Farrar, Jon Kusilek, Thomas Lam, Daniel Mathews and myself; David Varodayan was the reserve. Our results were Australia's best ever, which seems to indicate that we're excellent. For the third time ever, all six team members won medals, and for the first time ever, we got two golds! For my own detailed account of what we got up to during the three weeks we spent together, you can have a look at my weird diary-competition thingy which I still don't have a proper name for!
