There are those who are vampires whom are not the undead. They have chosen to be vampires rather than having been cursed or bitten by an evil entity.
These people are not evil, nor have they lost their soul by becoming evil. They have reflections in a mirror and they still walk about in the daylight with out fear of the sun injuring them.
The blood that the living vampires drink, comes from friends or relatives. The friends or relatives blood is usually taken from a self-inflicted cut as not to hurt or cause severe injury to the donor. Living vampires have no cause to kill their victims,or to cause injury.
Some of these living vampires in some cases adopt a gothic fashion, wearing black or dark clothing. Some vampires also have coffins to sleep in instead of beds. But this is not the case with all vampires. Those whom are the living vampires can assume any lifestyle they wish, dressing in everyday fashion, casual or buisness, working many different jobs. These vampires are productive members of society and cannot be distinguished from any ordinary citizen.
It has been suggested by Stephen Kaplin, a vampire researcher, that vampires are normal living people who felt an overwhelming urge to drink blood. He also sates that these people became irrtable, aggressive, and/or frantic if they are unable to maintain their daily supply of blood. These vampires beleive that the supply of blood kept them youthful and would in fact extend their life indefinitely.
There are others however, who are the cold hearted killers preying on the innocent. They will kill their prey and drink the blood for their unnatural blood lust. Usually we call them serial killers. This type of vampire are usually formed at an early age of life and are the outcast of society. It is these vampires that are most heard of and remembered when vampires are mentioned. It is because of the terrible deeds of these vampires that people hold vampires in contempt.
Whether or not we believe it, vampires do exist. They are out there and are not seen by society because they choose not to be seen.
