March. Again, nothing particularly notable about this month, except St. Patrick's Day. And Super Walmart is opening. And I'm now working a full-time schedule instead of parttime. And I'll be raising support for my summer mission trip. And planning a trip to Indiana. OK, so a lot will be going on, just not yet.

So here is a picture of a pickup truck, right? "Why," you are asking, "did you post a boring picture of a pickup truck?" Well, I'll tell you.
If you can see this guy's license plate, it's VAP 000. I don't think that's random enough to have been auto-generated, which means he must have picked it. But why? What could VAP 000 possibly stand for that you'd want a personalized plate for it? Vap-O-Rub? Vehicles And Pickups 2000? Venison On Rye? Maybe they're initials: Victor Owen Peterson? Or maybe he just picked the 000 part, to make it easy to remember his plate.
Or maybe it actually was random, and he just happened to get an interesting one.
P.S. The picture has been slightly enhanced so it wouldn't look washed out. Further enhancing is possible, but I'm lazy.
P.P.S. I hope posting license plates isn't illegal. ;-)

Here is a blurry sunset picture I tried to take from my car that finally proves my camera doesn't pick up color very well. The sunset was a stunning orange; my camera shows a barely visible white disk in a pale gray sky, with maybe a hint of orange.
I'm not complaining. This is the best digital camera I've ever had. OK, you got me; this is the only digital camera I've ever had. But I wouldn't be taking these pictures if I had to buy and develop actual film, so it's better than nothing.
It was either this or a picture of my roommate getting a haircut, and this one is just a bit more interesting, especially since I didn't get before/after pictures of his hair.

Here is the aforementioned Super Walmart. This must have been the day or two after they first opened. There's the big Grand Opening sign, but there wasn't really anything grand about it. Once inside, it looked just like every other Walmart Supercenter.
It is, however, much bigger than a normal Walmart. Ever since I worked inventory, I can't go into a Walmart without imagining how long it would take to count the whole store, and have a feeling I should go to the back room and get a scanner gun before all the good ones are taken.

I'm not sure if they'd want me to post this, but here is a picture of my roommate and a frequent visitor having a pillow fight in our living room. It was unclear who won. I think it was decided they both did.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, those aren't pajamas-- the girl works at a hospital.

Today at work I found some Silly Putty® in my pocket. I'd forgotten I even had any, but since the call I was taking was going much longer than expected, I started to play with it.
Here is a result of that-- a Silly Putty®-man.

On the way to work today, I found myself behind a most interestingly painted pickup truck. I struggled to pull out my camera as quickly as I dared, driving with one hand on the wheel. I snapped this hasty shot just as it was about to turn left.

I guess here is this month's token "weather" picture. Spring will soon be upon us, and already we're seeing signs of it, like when it pours all day. If I had anything saved for a rainy day, I'd have no excuse now.
This was taken from work, out the window.

I finally bought a car! My roommate told me of his friend who was selling his car for $500, and it still ran fine.
What happened was this: someone backed into the his car and made a large dent (right side, not visible in picture). The insurance company determined it was more expensive to repair, so they totalled it. With the money from the insurance, he bought a new car and was getting rid of the old one.
The biggest problem is that it lacks a muffler, and is very loud, but most everything else works great. No more begging for rides to work, no more exuses for not getting out more, no more waking up super-early (for me) Sundays because that's when my ride leaves. Freedom!
