Welcome to Roguen's Rainbow Bridge

This page is dedicated to those that have proceeded me into Heaven.

I grew up in a basset hound household (except for Tyler, who was already under the bed). Some people seem to think that is why I am such a laid-back guy. My basset siblings were fairly old when I arrived on the scene, so I didn't have much time with them.

I Will Remember You

TwiquiSu -- She was top dog when I came along, even though Tina was older. I inherited her role as "go everywhere dog" when she grew ill. Twiqui actually enjoyed being dressed up and going places. She was a natural-born Mom. She even mothered two litters of orphaned bunnies one year.

Tina Louise -- Tina was a tough, no nonsense dog. I guess that's why the people at the shelter named her after Mom. She and Twiqui were dedicated to each other. So much so, when they grew ill from cancer together, it was decided they should go to Heaven together.

Miss Molly -- Molly was already old and sick when I arrived. I don't remember a lot about her. She was never short with me. She tolerated my puppy ways gracefully.

Arthur -- Arthur knew how to make people laugh. He wasn't the brightest crayon in the box. He had doggie cerebral palsy, which means his front legs never knew what his back legs were doing. But he was a lovable doofus.

Charlie -- Okay, so Charlie wasn't a dog. But he was a great guy. He was one of the few men I allowed to pet me when I was a teenager. He and Mom were in the Running Club together.

Carmi-Marie -- Mimi was my baby sister. I adored her from the second Mom brought her home. She was only with us for one year. Mimi died suddenly while playing in the backyard with Scrapper. This lost was nearly as hard for Scrapper as it was for me. I lost my baby sister and Scrapper lost her true playmate.

Mimi

Roguen's Place is sad to announce the passing of an old friend and companion, Roguen's dachshund cousin Joshua. Joshua had had a life long struggle with epilepsy and it finally won. For the most part, Josh remained in good spirits until his final days. We salute his courage, celebrate his life, and also mourn his loss.
We extend our great sympathy to Auntie Kat, Hayley, and Scrapper (who has lost yet another playmate in her young life).
We hope to get his photo up on the Rainbow Bridge as soon as we can. We know Joshua awaits us on the True Rainbow Bridge. If it is Heaven we guess there has to be lots of indestructable squeaky toys!
