The Studio

"This is every fan across America's dream. To spend a month with Hanson. Actually they would just be satisfied to spend a day, but a MONTH! And we, here at MTV, are gonna give it to you. Send all your applications in, a short essay on why you should be picked along with a tape of you so we can see how well you act around a camera. We'll take all the applications, carefully view them, and pick 21 finalists, then we'll have live interviews with those 21 lucky people, narrow it down to 6 and then pick the final 3."

Carson Daily read off the cue cards before walking off the set of TRL. "Man, a month with Hanson, it's times like these that make me which I was a 13 year old Hanson fan."

The applications came pouring in, and in the end there could only be 3, but first there had to be 21, and those people were going to come on TRL with Carson, then they would be interviewed and then they would be chosen. It was a tedious process, for one hell of a prize.

"So, Sarah, how's it goin?"

"It's going good, really good."

"You excited to be one of the 21 finalists to spend a month with Hanson?"

"Yes. I'm very excited."

"I can tell, you're shaking."

"I am? Oh my God."

"It's okay, calm down. Breathe, remember to breathe." He laughed, trying to get her to calm down. She was one of the younger applicants, only about 11. She started to hyperventilate and cry. He felt horrible and had someone come and take her off the set and calm her down. She was obviously not going to be one of the final three.

"I think I've seen you around here before."

"Well, I've been down here many times before." Chelsea smiled at Carson.

"So let me ask you, why do you think that you should be one of the ones who get to spend a month with Hanson?"

"Well, I've met them a lot, so they'll recognize me and be comfortable around me. "

"And how are you so sure that they'll be comfortable around you?"

"Well, didn't some one say that familiar faces are always a comfort?"

"I suppose so." Carson rolled his eyes, if she got picked he could tell right off that some one was going to conflict with her attitude, he secretly hoped it was Zac. That could be interesting.

"Also it's important that the people who get picked have personalities that mesh..."

"Mesh?"

She laughed, "Yeah, that mesh well with Hanson’s. I mean, I've met them a lot so I know that Taylor and I have personalities that go really well together."

"How many times have you met them?"

"Oh my God, almost too many to count!"
Carson gave her a skeptical eye, 'too many times to count'? What was she a stalker or something?

The majority of the applicants had been teeny-boppers. The majority of the 21 picked were not. Three of the girls had fainted, like Sarah, 12 had been seemingly stalkers, like Chelsea, and the rest were Carson's favorites. The ones who were so much like Hanson themselves it was scary. There were people Tiffany, who acted as the quiet earlier form of Taylor, and then there was Jordan, who acted like Zac. Lynette, who seemed to be Isaac, and Eriqa who was a bit of them all. Not all of his favorites made the 6 semi-finalist.

"Okay, this is a big day! Does everybody know what's going on today? I mean, it's huge! Today we are announcing who the 6 semi-finalists are who are going to spend a month with Hanson! So first let's bring out all 21 finalists. Debbie, Calla, Sarah, Chelsea, Hailie, Tiffany. Hey cutie." Tiffany smiled.

"Rebecca, Britney, Lynette, Mary, Genny, and Eriqa. Gotta take a breath, there is just so many names!"

"Ben, Irene, Jordan, Ashley, Kurtis, and Alissa. You really do look like a Hanson, ya' know?"

"Yeah I know." Alissa laughed.

"Finally, Jessica, Heather, and Andrea."

The studio clapped and the girls and guys all waited in nervous anticipation.

"I'm going to announce the 6 and then you each get 2 minutes to state why you should get picked and then we let the viewers decide."

A dead silence lay over the studio. "So, can we get a drum roll?"

"No problem!" A familiar voice with a familiar blonde face looked up from behind a drum set and gave Carson a roll.

"So, will Jordan, Tiffany, and Chelsea step forward." There were screams, needless jumping, and rounds of applause.

"Eriqa, Alissa, and Kurtiz." The crowd erupted into its final shout of happiness, disappointment, and congratulations.

"Okay, so now you lucky 6 semi-finalists get 2 minutes to make a statement about why you should be picked. We'll have the final 3 picked by the end of the show and then you'll get to go fly off with Hanson to Tulsa. So Jordan, you get to go first. Tell the people out there why they should pick you and why you're one of Hanson's biggest fans. Take it away man."

"Okay, well, you want me on that show cuz I make ya' laugh. Yeah, I do!" Accompanied by strange faces and voices Jordan continued to work the camera, an exact interpretation of a brunette Zac. "I am so much like Zac that we practically belong on a show together, we'd rip it up! So give me your vote! Yeah, that's right ME!"

"Alright man. Personally I don't know, two Zac's in the same room, on the same show that's not necessarily a good thing."

"Yeah no kidding." Taylor sat next to Zac, offering a few words to a mic.

"Okay, Tiffany, it's your time. Isn't she cute?"

Hanson nodded their heads in agreement.

"Okay, well, if there was one reason that I should get picked for this show, it's probably because I'm level headed. I can stay calm which I think is probably one of the most important things that you have to have for this project. It will enable me to be comfortable around the guys and for them to be comfortable around me. I mean, if they can't be comfortable around me, or I can't be comfortable around them, then obviously it's not going to work. Also, I know that I can be really quiet sometimes, but I definitely know how to have fun. This is something that I would really love so please give me the chance." Everyone clapped and Carson passes on the mic to Chelsea.

"Like I've said before, I've met Hanson a lot. So they know me. They're comfortable around me which is something that is needed to be even half-way decent in the situation at hand. And c'mon, Green Jello and Red Jellybeans, I represent you guys and everything that you are. Let me show Hanson that we're the best fans they could ever have. Vote me in, come on."

"Ok, my undisputed favorite, Eriqa, come on. I love this girl." Hanson just stared, blankly at all the contestants.

"Um...I feel pretty dumb right about now. I am a big Hanson fan, and the fact that I'm not screaming and trying to tear off their clothes in a frenzy pretty much proves that I'm capable of being calm. I add a twist of sarcasm, intellect, and toughness to these girls. I don't have anyone out there that I can beg to vote me in. But I can say, that all these people model themselves after one of the brothers and I am one of the only people that is out here and that is not a stalker, is not a teeny bopper, and is not a lame excuse for a copy of a Hanson. So please, let's get some cool people on the show. If you don't vote for me, then vote in Alissa or Kurtiz because I don't want to sit at home watching this if all the people on it are stupid."

"Alissa, the mini Hanson girl. It's your turn!"

"Um...I decided to resign, and I think Chelsea should too. Because we've both met Hanson a lot and fans out there are probably sick of us. So I'm not running anymore and I think you should vote for Eriqa and Tiffany, because they're really cool and really nice." And she walked off the set, a tear falling from her eye.

"ALISSA!!!!" Zac ran out, and grabbed her in a big hug. "Come sit with us." So they sat together quietly making fun of some of the other contestants.

"Well, I never expected that to happen." Carson looked around. "Chels, you want to follow in her foot steps?"

"No way, I'm gonna stick it out."

"Alright, then our final semi-finalist, Kurtiz, you want to come give us your speech?"

"Yeah okay." He took the mic. "I only listened to Hanson for the first time because my girlfriend liked them. Then I found out that they were actually talented. I appreciate their music more than a lot of other fans because the way they look doesn't matter to me. I'm straight, so...yeah. I'm just out to have a good time, and I want to have a good time on this show. So, vote me in."

"Alright. So, Jordan, Chelsea, Tiffany, Eriqa, and Kurtiz. Those are our 5 finalists, because Alissa, who is now on Zac's lap, kindly resigned." Alissa waved.

"So let's get voting!"

As luck would have it, the votes were in early. Three people had been selected, and they were to be crowned the "Misses" or "Misters", whichever the case may be, of Hanson. Then they would fly to Tulsa to spend a month with Hanson.

"Mr. Zac, could you kick Alissa off your lap for a moment to give me one more drum roll?" Zac laughed and headed back to the set. "Alright, our final finalists of the finals.."

"Have enough finals in there?" Taylor laughed.

"Did you like that?"

"Oh yeah."

"Okay, so the finalists are...Miss Cutie Hanson, Tiffany...” Applause.

"Miss 'I seem like a stalker but I'm not' Chelsea." More applause.

"And Miss 'I don't want to watch stupid people on TV' Eriqa." A final round of clapping.

"There we go! There are the three people who get to spend a month with Hanson in Tulsa, Oklahoma!"

"Do we get to interview them like you promised?" Zac grinned. Hanson had gotten up to greet their new room mates. After shaking everyone's hand the credits began to role and Hanson went to shake hands with all the people who did not get picked.

"On the plane Zac." Carson smiled. "I love that crazy guy."
