The Twelveth Night

"I hate him!" Zac shrieked. "I'll kill him. I will rip his voice box out of his throat and make him plead for forgiveness. And I won't give it to him. Then I'll kick him and pull every hair out of his head. I'll rip his entire body apart. No suffering will be enough to equal what he's done to me."

Venisa sat on the floor, staring at Zac, amused, almost smiling. "Don't kill him." She said simply.

"Why not? It would be so much fun, and it would make me feel so much better."

"Because, he's my only son-after-life, and your father-after-life."

"So. I don't care what he is to me. Brother or father, he betrayed me and hurt me and he did it on purpose."

"You wouldn't miss him at all?" She asked.

"No." Zac began to catch on. "Would you?"

"Yes."

"Why?" Zac screamed. "Why? What good has he done you? He is a needy, worthless, little shit!"

"He is my offspring! He is my creation!" She stood, a bit annoyed with Zac's thick-headedness.

"You care about him more than me!" Zac accused.

"NO! I care about no one! I look out for myself!"

"Then what? You can't tell me he's better in bed."

She hung her head and nodded 'no.'

"You liked him more. You feel something. Don't you see? That's what he does? He gets inside you and fucks up your head! You don't need that, I don't need that! I could have turned Mackie! He could be with me right now! But Taylor got in my head, he messed me up. Because of him I lost! I lost my Mackie! He was mine, and he's gone. Taylor took him from me!"

"Zac, you're not making any sense." She was calm.

"I am to! You're just not understanding. You like him more! He's better to you!"

"Shut up, you're being ridiculous."

He slapped her. "Don't you fucking tell me to shut up, bitch." She was startled. He turned from her, pacing the room. "I'll kill him. I'll kill him." He whispered. Grabbing an iron candle stand Zac threw it across the room. He turned, tossing books to the floor, tearing papers, and screaming. "All of them! I'll kill them all! I don't need them! I don't need any of them! They're not good enough for me! I’ll kill him!"

Venisa shrank back into a corner, this was wrong. Vampires had tempers, but not like this. Taylor never should have turned him.

Taylor sat in the park, in the swing Mackenzie had fallen from.
"And we'll travel to mars,
past the moon,
waving to stars,
flying on wings,
laughing of
imaginary things,
into the night,
on a mars ride"
It wasn't really the same as the lulla-bye he had sung with Zac and Isaac just a few years earlier. But he wasn't really the same Taylor he was just a few years earlier. Since he had turned everything had gone down hill. He had been moody in the beginning, and now Zac was nothing short of a demon, maybe it would be a phase for him too. Something told him no. "I know it's my fault. If I hadn't wanted to get even with Zac for taking Venisa it Mackie wouldn't have died. If I hadn't turned Zac none of this would have happened. If I had killed myself that one time, I never would have turned. I screw everything up. I'm worthless...." He sobbed and threw himself to the ground. "GOD!" He screamed. "Why don't you kill me? Please! Kill me! Take me out of my misery! Please…" his voice became a gentle sob. "Please."
