WEB CREATION FOR WEBTV USERS

Some basic tips from a webtv web mistress.....

Here are some pages that will help you design a personal webspace of your own. I also want to include my collection of gifs, as seen on my main webpage A Place For Music and Love

Some Personal Tips and Suggestions

Firstly, don't be inimidated by HTML. I have never read a book about HTML and web design, but I learned enough from some of the web sites found below, that I was able to create a personal webspace that I feel proud of, as a representaton of my personality. The first step is to become acquainted with the HTML, visit the links below, read a couple tutorials. I keep a big notebook handy when surfing the 'net, copying down not only links that may be useful for my homepage, but even instructions on certain HTML commands that I don't know. You learn by doing. And I found that asking for help is useful, there are so many people that have great ideas, and a wealth of knowledge that you can draw upon. Webtv users are always friendly and willing to lend their expertise! :) Once you have created a page, try to get some feedback, ask PC users what your page looks like to them (Webtv units "see" color and graphics slightly different than the conventional PC) Ask for ideas for topics, even about the latest add-ons like message boards and slambooks. These are great fun and good for traffic on your site. Below I will list sites that I think will be very useful in building a great homepage!
