1916-1917: Some of the schools CHS played in football at that time included Enid High School,
Marshall, Hennessey and Cashion.
In the spring of of 1916, Logan County authorities announced a track and field meet to be held
annually in Guthrie. Practically every school in the county was represented. Crescent won the
meet in both Class A and B, winning first place in all the events except two, and all but two
of the medals offered in Class A. Howard Hull won the all-around medal during several meets in
1916-17.

I have this picture from my Grandfathers things. He is in the second row, second from the right, holding the football. Everett Charles Eberle. He was recruited by OU to play football, but decided to marry my grandmother and stay in the Crescent area. His brother Newell Eberle is on the back row, first person on the right.
