The cutters type AVC operate electro-pneumatically with only one cutting knife.
This cutting knife makes a vertical cutting motion.
A feeler roll measures the bar velocity and controls the belt velocity by means of an inverter. At the same time the feeler roll measures the bar length and releases the cutting signal at the preset length.
During the whole cutting process the cutting mechanism runs at the same velocity as the bar, thus a vertical cut is achieved.
During operation the cutting length can be adjusted between 30 - 800 mm in metric steps. The maximum number of strokes is 120 per minute.
