NEWS TEAM GRADING 2003~20/02/03
The number of teams has been very encouraging with a few new clubs joining the competition and few old ones comming back. Gatway CLC at Swansea will have a team in this years competition, and so will Hamilton Baptist. These two clubs had teams back in the late 80's and early 90's, its great to see them back in the competition. Our biggest growth area is the Ladies competition, with 5 new teams joining the competition. We've seen the Ladies comp grow from a 7-aside reduced field, reduced duration compition 4 years ago to the full 11-aside, full field comp today. With 6 games being played each week in the ladies competition, I'm looking forward to catching a few games this year. Grading teams this year was no easier than it has been in the past and to give you an idea these are the teams that had handed team registration forms as of Monday 17th March and the grades they had requested.
