Daily pickets in front of Eaton's continue [as they have for close to a month], interest from other trade unions in the city is increasing, several have promised to drop by this week and walk the picket line with us.

At the close of Saskatchewan Federation of Labour convention on Saturday, October 24th, representatives from the following unions staged an informational picket at Eaton's: CUPE, Grain Services Union (GSU), Retail, Wholesale, Department Store Union (RWDSU), CUPW and Saskatchewan Government Employees Union (SGEU)

What we lacked in numbers we made up for in enthusiasim. When I passed Eaton's an hour later that had posted uniformed security at the entrance.

Finally,CUPE 2419 is organizing a Halloween Dance to benefit the sisters of UNITE. The theme of course is strikes, strikers and nasty strike breakers. We are selling tickets now, so we'll let you know how much cash we raise from that.
