and Arena InformationThe Wawa Travellers have the luxury of playing in the newly renovated Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre. This first class facility underwent major renovations three years ago and is now the focal point for sports and recreation in the Township of Michipicoten.
The facility houses an NHL size hockey rink which has the capacity to seat over 900 fans. Also, a newly constructed Curling Club is located in the complex and provides a perfect atmosphere for the curling fan. Connection the two ice surfaces is a beautiful banquet hall which oversees both arenas. It is fully licensed and provides a great setting for any banquet or special get together.
There is also a fitness centre on the premises as well as a sauna, aerobics room and two regulation sized squash courts. As one can see, the Michipicoten Community Centre is truly a gem along the north shore.
Ticket Information
The Wawa Travellers continue to provide great family entertainment at very reasonable prices. The Travellers did not raise the price of their tickets so more citizens of Wawa and area could enjoy North of Superior Hockey League action.
