The 1st Orleans Pathfinders do alot of camping. Not all of our girls come camping, but most of them do. With the "new" Pathfinder Program, girls do not have to camp in order to earn their Canada Cord! In our unit, we offer both Camping and Leadership activities in order to give the girls a choice.

We hope that these pages will help other units with camp planning, and to enjoy some adventure camping too. In the Winter of 1999, we, as a unit got our first taste of winter camping, by spending an entire day outside in January. Guiders Jane and Stephanie took the Winter Camping course offered by Ottawa Area Guide House, and it was excellent. All of the information offered in the Winter Camping Tips is from that course.
