When you open your eyes you notice a soft glow of candlelight surrounding you and a warmth as that radiating from a peaceful fire. You note that you are lieing on a couch with several blankets wrapped around you as well. As you are taking in your surroundings, a girl approaches you from the corner where she must have been sitting in a chair awaiting your awakening. "I'm glad you are up, I was beginning to fear that you might never rise again. You were in an awful state when you came upon the cabin. The mountains get to some people more than others, fortunately, I have seen worse. I at least knew relatively what must be done, but anyone can have their doubts at times. Would you like to have some Pyata Tea? The leaf grows only in these mountains and I have found that it works quite well in restoring strength to people such as yourself. It's quite good, too; at least I think it is." You meakly reply that you would appreciate something in your stomach. She leaves for a bit and then returns after a few minutes with a cup filled with a steaming liquid. "I just realized that you wouldn't have caught my name when you came in, although I did mention it as soon as you came in the door; you were pretty far out of it at the time and I had not yet realized it. My name is Chrysænce." She hands you the cup and you take a sip of the seemingly hot liquid, but you find that it is actually quite chilling. "You may find the tea about chilly; as much as you heat that stuff it is always cooler than frost to the taste, but once it goes down, it warms your stomach." After swallowing you feel a great warmth rise up inside of you like hot chocolate on a cold icy day. "I'm glad to see a little color in your face, you should be alright now." You ask her how she came to such a place and how she survived the great height. "About five years ago I left home, the world I am from was going through a sort of Medieval time, and everything was accepted as is. I was the only one who questioned the world, authority, life - everything. So, as I stood out from the rest, I was not accepted. I was your basic outcast, my family even alienated me. So I went traveling throughout me planet looking for answers, a way out of the world with the doldrums for lives. When I was traveling through one of the forests I got lost in a mist. I finally came to a clearing in which I noticed a translucent sort of haze in front of me a little smaller than a standard door. I had nothing to lose, and so much to gain, so I walked through and entered into a whole different world, this one. To test it out, I walked back through - to my world, but the bridge between the worlds I noticed was decreasing in size so I hopped for the last time back into this world, and the gate closed behind me. I didn't regret my choice, and I don't now either. Not to say that I don't miss my family every day, but, as I said, I didn't fit in then, and I certainly wouldn't now. My old world is not prepared for the ideas and technologies that I have since come upon. I traveled from village to village and discovered that I was in the land of Hyperia. I also learned that so many things that were only legend in my old home were more real than my reflection here. I had never before seen dragons, elves, and unicorns. I also saw so many creatures that I had never even before dreamt of. In one small town, which I have unfortunately forgotten the name, there was an old nymph who was staying at my tavern and inn. He answered every question I asked with great knowledge and understanding. He told me of the significance of the dragon to people on this planet. For the first time in my life, I began to see a purpose before me. I came here trying to discover myself, but found more mystery than truth. Some try to learn about the world around them to find the character inside them, but I have resorted to learning about the character inside me to find the world. I am currently in search of my connection. My dragon. As there is a soulmate for every soul, there is also a dragon. Dragons are the key to the soul as their existance is a mystery itself. The old nymph directed me to find a place to which I feel at peace, and that if I was really where I belonged, my dragon would find me. Let me explain a little more, to open up, I must find my dragon, and it is here in these cliffs that I hope to find it. Before I can find the mate to my soul, I must be able to see myself, and for that, I must find my "dragonmate." As to how I survived the height, I was just simply not quite so succeptable to the altitude and have a knack for finding good tea leaves, such as the Pyata. At first I lived in the cave around back, but that is not an ideal place to stay in the winter, so I built this cabin and the stable in the back. Here I shall live out my days, but I can only pray now, that I shall not be alone." As she says this her thoughts seem to begin to wander and she doesn't say anything for a moment. Suddenly she gives out a slight yell that sounds more like a squeak. You notice a small animal at her feet licking frantically, seemingly worried about Chrysænce.
"Oh, thank you Kahbie," she murmurs to the creature, "I was beginning to drift out of it again wasn't I?" Returning her thoughts back to you, "I forgot to introduce my firedrace. His name is Kahbie. He is from Fragglerook. I adopted some horses from there, which I'll show you in a bit, when I told them my story, they sent this little guy to me as a wish of good luck in my quest. Since you seem to be feeling a little better, why don't we go over to the stables and I'll show you around a bit.
