"They are horses from Fragglerook. The blue and red brand on them indicated this. I found them wandering down in the Hyperian Hills a few months ago. It's not exactly the safest place for runners such as themselves. They look much like a horse, but the particular breed has acute differences which I'm not entirely sure of, and they are referred to as runners. Anyway, I noticed them grazing in the Hills and thought it would be best if I brought them here with me. I'm not sure exactly how they managed to get to Hyperia, but I was able to make contact with some of the Everondese people and I adopted them both. The brown runner is male and named Dezent. The solid black one is female. She is named Eisen. As the two were traveling through the Hills, they both seemed to sense the danger that surrounded them. Dezent would sometimes stop right in his tracks and turn in the safer direction of the Guardian Meadows, but each time Eisen would race ahead of him and stop directly in front of him blocking his way and would gently nudge him back in the other direction. This occured several times, as I watched the two and each time Dezent would struggle against his conscience and then finally follow Eisen back onto her decided path. Dezent showed great caution and discretion in every move he made and Eisen proved to have an iron will, always pushing forward towards danger, but also toward this mountain. The two are named for these qualities. As the reached the dreaded shadow of the mountain where the most dangerous creatures strive, I came to their aid and lead them here. They have been quite happy here and enjoy exploring the mountains.
