Bette Davis Memorable Quotes:  From What Ever Happened To Baby Jane (1962)   "BUT CH AAH, BLANCHE, YA AAH IN THAT CHAIR."   From Death on the Nile (1978)   "COME BOWERS, IT'S TIME TO GO, THIS PLACE IS BEGINNING TO RESEMBLE A MORTUARY."   From Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964)   "YOUR A VILE, SORRY LITTLE BITCH."   From Another Man's Poison (1952)   "YOU ASKED A PRETTY QUESTION, I'VE GIVEN YOU THE UGLY ANSWER."   From  All About Eve (1950)   "I DETEST CHEAP SENTIMENT."   "FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS, IT'S GOING TO BE A BUMPY NIGHT."   "EVERYBODY HAS A HEART---EXCEPT SOME PEOPLE."   From Mr. Skeffington (1944)   "A WOMAN IS BEAUTIFUL WHEN SHE HAS EIGHT HOURS SLEEP AND GOES TOTHE BEAUTY PARLOR EVERY DAY. SWEET, SUGARY, STICKY  WORSHIP. YOUR GOING TO HAVE A STEADY DIET OF IT TILL YOUR READY TO SCREAM - YOU BILLYGOAT."   From Cabin in the Cotton (1932)   "I'D LIKE TO KISS YOU, BUT I JUST WASHED MY HAIR."   From Three On a Match (1932)   "IT MUST BE A GRAND FEELING TO GET EVERYTHING YOPU WANT."   From Hell's House (1932)   "IF YOU'D GIVE THE KID A CHANCE, KELLY, HE MIGHT AMOUNT TO SOMETHING, INSTEAD OF ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT YOURSELF."

Known as 'The Fifth Warner Brother,' Bette Davis began in Hollywood with a 6 month Universal Studio contract in 1930. The Studio rep who was to meet her on her arrival at the train station left without Bette, cause he said there was nobody who looked like a movie star. In 1932, Bette signed a 7 year contract with Warner Brothers. Bette married four times and had three children, one of whom was severely retarded. Her daughter B.D. wrote a scandalistic book in 1985 called 'My Mother's Keeper.' In 1977, the American Film Institute presented her with a Lifetime Achievement Award. All About Eve would be my personal choice for her finest performance, but I really want it to be What Ever Happened To Baby Jane.

Bette Davis speaking of Joan Crawford: "I wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire."  "She's slept with every male star at MGM, except Lassie."
