Home Up What A Dynasty Favorite Players Hab Links

GUY LAFLEUR:

Five time Stanley Cup winner and Hockey Hall of Famer, Guy Lafleur joined the Canadiens for the 1971-72 season. Guy's career with the Canadiens spanned 14 years.

During the years when helmets were considered a accessory rather than the rule, watching Guy fly the length of the Forum to score a goal was a sight to see. Guy holds the Canadiens individual record for most points by a player during regular season with 1,246.

LARRY ROBINSON:

Six time Stanley cup winner with the Canadiens, Larry Robinson entered the Hockey Hall of Fame in November of 1995. Larry's years with the Canadiens spanned 17 years beginning with the 1972-73 season.

I use to clinch my hands together watching Larry wind up at the blue line with one of his slap shots. He would score on a regular basis.

MATS NASLUND:

The Viking from Timra, Sweden. Mats Naslund played 8 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens. Capturing a Stanley Cup for the 1985-86 season.

Mats was a speedster who slithered his way around his opponents. He resembled a smaller Guy Lafleur as he sped up and down the length of the playing surface. His contributions were a big factor during the Canadiens 1985-86 Stanley Cup victory.
