1992-93 - This was the year the Canadiens won nearly all their games in overtime. They defeated the Los Angeles Kings 4 games to 1.

    1985-86 - The Canadiens 23rd Stanley Cup. They defeated the Calgary Flames 4 games to 1. Patrick Roy became the youngest player to win the Conn Smythe Trophy. Also,  upon winning this Stanley Cup, the Canadiens became the most prized Championships of any professional sports organization.

    1978-79 - The Canadiens defeat the New York Rangers 4 games to 1. Their fourth Stanley Cup in a row. Scotty Bowman resigns as coach.

    1977-78 - Defeating Boston Bruins 4 games to 2, brought the Canadiens their 21st Stanley Cup.

    1976-77 - Stanley Cup number 20 came with a sweep of the Boston Bruins, 4 games to 0.

    1975-76 - The first of four Stanley Cup Championships in a row. The victims who were swept 4 games to 0: Philadelphia Flyers.

    1972-73 - The Canadiens defeat the Chicago Black Hawks 4 games to 2. Henri Richard captures his 11th Stanley Cup as a Canadien.

     1970-71 - The Chicago Black Hawks gave the Canadiens a run for their money this year. In the seventh and deciding game the Canadiens capture their 17th Stanley Cup with a 3-2 win in Chicago. Jean Beliveau's final game with the Canadiens.

     1968-69 - The Canadiens defeat the St. Louis Blues 4 games to 0. This is the Canadiens sixteenth Stanley Cup.

     1967-68 - The Canadiens defeat the St. Louis Blues 4 games to 0. Toe Blake retires as coach. Blake coached Montreal to 8 Stanley Cups.

     1965-66 - Henri Richard scores in overtime to defeat the Detroit red Wings 4 games to 2.

     1964-65 - The Chicago Black Hawks fell to the Canadiens in the seventh and deciding game 4-0. Jean Beliveau becomes the very first recipient of the Conn Smythe Trophy.

     1959-60 - By knocking off the Toronto Maple Leafs 4 games to 0, the Canadiens win a record five Stanley Cups in a row. Maurice Richard's last game in a Canadiens uniform.

    1958-59 - The Canadiens win their eleventh Stanley Cup by defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 4 games to 1.

    1957-58 - Boston Bruins go down 4 games to 2. The Canadiens tenth Stanley Cup.

     1956-57 - Boston Bruins go down 4 games to 1. The Canadiens ninth Stanley Cup.  

     1955-56 - Detroit Red Wings fall victims 4 games to 1. The Canadiens first of five consecutive Stanley Cups.

     1952-53 - The Canadiens defeat the Boston Bruins 4 games to 1. This is the Canadiens fifth Stanley Cup won at the Montreal Forum.

     1945-46 - The Canadiens defeat the Boston Bruins 4 games to 1 and take home their sixth Stanley Cup.

     1943-44 - The Canadiens win their fifth Stanley Cup by defeating the Chicago Black Hawks 3 games to 2. Best of five.

     1930-31 - In a best of five series, the Canadiens defeated the Chicago Black Hawks 3 games to 2.

     1929-30 - The Canadiens win their first Stanley Cup at the Montreal Forum defeating the Boston Bruins 2 games to 0.

     1923-24 - The Canadiens win their second Stanley Cup by defeating Calgary 2 games to 0.

      1915-16 - The Canadiens first Stanley Cup. They defeated the Portland Rosebuds 3 games to 2. Each player was awarded $238 for the Cup win.
