Anna,
Benz is doing fantastic, he is an absolute angel. We had such a great
weekend, the three of us, going on walks, relaxing around the house, and
playing in the snow. We are letting him go at his own pace, without any
pressure, and with lots and lots of encouragement. He really seems to be
adjusting well to his new surroundings, and enjoying all the new faces and
places he has seen over the past few days. I think we have also made
tremendous progress in developing our bond together. He is much more
comfortable in allowing us to pet and snuggle with him. In fact, he will
now come over without being called and plop down beside me if I am sitting
on the floor and let me pet and snuggle with him. He has even put his head
on my lap a couple of times. Of course he is still leery of strangers
(expected), but he seems to be becoming more and more relaxed with the more
people he meets. I can't believe how well he has done in his first few
days, I don't think we could have had a better start. We are so proud of
him, as I am sure you are too. He certainly is a special boy.
I will write again later in the week, and keep you posted as to his progress
and adventures. Thanks again Anna for all you have done, and in bringing
Benz into our lives.

P.S. Yes we got our first tail wag on Saturday afternoon, and see them more
and more.
