Benny Checa’s “Midas Touch” as it was called in the Sport Section of the Belfast Telegraph’s evening edition 28 January 2010 came good for Brian Magee, when he became the new European Supermiddleweight Champion, beating Mads Larsen of Denmark in the title fight on Saturday 30 January 2010 in Aarhus in Denmark.
