Schedule: Winter term classes are held Monday through Thursday, beginning January 5th. There will be one week of Spring Break at the end of the term.

Math begins with class activities that reinforce math concepts and create a learning community. Saxon worksheets provide systematic understanding of elementary math skills at each student’s pace.

English is a combination of phonics and whole language instruction, rich in classic children’s stories. A "bookworm" will document the reading of everyone (students, parents, teachers) in the school throughout the year. Handwriting and grammar are introduced, and a reading therapist tests all students for reading skills and habits, and works with classes and individuals to improve reading accuracy and speed throughout the year.

PE class is held Thursdays at 9:00. Presidential Physical Fitness training and testing and a variety of games will be introduced.

Art classes on Wednesdays at 9:00 teach fundamental skills in form, color, and media. Music classes are held Mondays at 9:00. Students learn American Folk Styles, and prepare for performance at the end of the term. Music theory concepts presented will include rhythm reading, note reading, keyboarding, and recorder.

1:30-2:30 is an optional tutoring hour for the whole school. While older students may have private music lessons and homework help, primary students have logic games, community service, and computer literacy.
