I have had alot of comments about this poem already, so I thought I would provide a little background. I wrote this one after my first goddaughter was killed in a car accident. It was several years ago, but this poem still has alot of meaning for me. It has helped me cope with not only her loss, but also the loss of others since then. So if you know anyone having a hard time, please pass this on. Sometimes we need to be reminded that as long as we remember them, they will always be with us.
Never-Ending Train
This ride we call life is
like a neverending train,
speeding along in the rain
On it everyone has a seat,
This is where we all meet
People come, people go.
But their seat is still there
Even if they've just gone elsewhere
Our memory holds them there
Big or small, short or tall
We will remember them all
As if they never left at all
