The Time Has Come!
You have journeyed with me from the beginning. You have prepared with me, prayed with me, and have waited with me. The time has come for me to leave on the 29th to begin my adventure. I realize, however, no amount of preparation will truly have me ready for the STEP of faith I am about to take.
Through you God has blessed me with the funds I need. I thought acquiring $2,500 per month would be impossible, but He is so faithful to provide! I am only $450 away from that goal. I thought I could never raise $6,000 as a one-time cost. Of course, I couldn't! But He put it on your hearts to make a contribution, and will faithfully provide the $4,000 that remains.
Thank you for all of your creative support! Joni Jundt, thank you for your inspiration of hosting a Pampered Chef party for me, and to all of yo that participated in it! We raised enough to put 15 percent towards my mission! Thank you all for e-mails and phone calls and coffee visits! A special thanks to Dave Armstrong, Pam Lawson, and Gary Lengkeed for answering all my questions! Most of all, I want to thank my director and producer, Jesus Christ, for making it all happen in the first place. It is my honor to serve the Lord with my life daily, and to influence young people to STEP out and do the same.
STEP will start with a pre-field orientation in Dallas, Texas, from June 8 to 12, then hits the ground running in Guatemala June 13. For the next two months, I encourage you to write me at this address:

To clarify, STEP "is a short-term mission program of OC International in cooperation with the Christian community in the U.S. and Canada. It is designed to send summer missionary workers to countries where OC has resident missionaries, in order to encourage and strengthen the national Christians and carry on evangelistic work throughout the country. The program functions under the direction of various established missionary organizations and local churches coordinated by OC career missionaries in the country. Its objective is to effectively assist pastors in church growth, evangelism, and multiplication."
This year's team will consist of four girls and one guy. I've had the pleasure of e-mailing one of the team members participating this summer with me. It is a great comfort to have a new friend who will be going with me. Please pray that we will go down with our hearts prepared to serve and to learn. I'm excited to have Guatemala impact me!
Take care and God bless!
