A Greece A Invitation squad went down in its two matches leading into their upcoming New Caledonia March Test. The Greek A Invites were in front 10-8 with the hooter sounding on the last tackle, however a strong effort by the more experienced local Kiama squad left the Greeks with a heart wrenching loss. A fast paced second match full of attacking
flair was a close fought affair, however wayward goalkicking prevented the

The Wollongong 7's was eventually taken out by the local & very experienced Thirroul team consisting of a handful of NSW Country reps. Overall the youthful GRL squad displayed glimpses of flair especially from arguably their star player of the day Dean Anthony whose elusive skills kept the Greeks competitive. The majority of the Greek Test squad was trialing with either NRL or Jim Beam clubs for the upcoming 2004 season. Inspirational Greek Captain / Coach Steve Georgallis believes the New Caledonia squad would step up in the upcoming 13 a side game. Report from RUGBY LEAGUE REVIEW
