After Souths were excluded from the competition it galvanised the community and support for the South's reinstatement cause grew stronger and stronger Australia wide and even abroad. Further to this in March 2000 The Greeks For Souths had a presence at the Bay Street Greek Festival in which they ran a Souths stall selling club merchandise, organising raffles and obtaining over 1000 petition signatures amongst the Greek Community. In 2001 the committee returned again to the Bay Street Greek Festival to drum up more support. In over a two year period the Greeks For Souths help raise more than $100,000 for the Rabbitohs cause and have once again started the ball rolling. "I have been a South Sydney supporter all my life and everyone involved in the committee have done a wonderful jopb to help the club" said committee member Con Saroukas.
