Life's a Beach pt.2

While on our week long lounge, we got to see many fascinating things like:

Old trees

...found atop the cliffs of Highcliffe beach. Elisabeth took this picture because she liked how they were shaped. Stephen then took the opportunity to wax philosophically about how old everything is in England vs. Canada and North America being so new, relatively speaking, and how any old growth like this would have already been cut down and turned into toothpicks for Japanese business men.

Corf Castle

Well this is it! The beautiful ruins of Corf Castle, perched high above the country side! The history, the stories, the culture! Naturally we didn't actually go into it; just parked at the side of the road to snap this picture.

Swanage harbour

And here we have beautiful Swanage Hrbour. In the background, you can see the majestic Isle of Wight (I think) and just to the right are the world famous Needles (I think). We went to a pub here and Elisabeth at fish & chips. ... Actually now that I think of it, I don't think that it actually is the Isle of Wight; rather it's the other end of Poole Harbour, the 2nd largest natural harbour in the world. The fish & chips were good, anyway.
Update! According to David Allin the object that's across the harbour is either Old Harry Rocks or Anvil Head. (Though he suspects the latter)
