This is a 3.75 meter tiger shark, captured by marine biologist Richard Fitzpatrick (sitting left). Our staff biologist, Clare, is helping Richard install a $3,000 radio transmitter on the shark's dorsal fin. The shark's movements will be tracked for up to a year, giving valuable data on shark behaviour.
Emily, our super-talented chef, gives our friend some TLC whilst the tagging procedure takes place.
Our friend is released back into the blue. The tag is visible on the dorsal fin.
